When not behind a camera lens, I love to spend time with my daughter and family, cook, surf, maintain an herb garden, listen to classic music on a record player, play softball, play tennis, enjoy a great cup of coffee, read / listen to books & podcasts, and literally do nothing to just appreciate life and its simplistic moments.

This page will be blog like and will share some in front of the camera moments doing things I enjoy.  In between, you may see some behind the scenes footage on shoots; as well as information shares for those of you who are into photography and the creative processes /  decision points that we deal with in the field.  Is there something that you may want to see here?  Drop a line and let me know!

Eat With Steve | The Mighty Jeff Ross

I have been eating at Eva's restaurant in New York City for as long as I could drive a car.  I originally would buy all of my sports supplements here and then quickly gave the food a try and was hooked.

Check out one of their plates I frequently enjoy called The Might Jeff Ross after it's comedian namesake.

Eat With Steve | Olive Oil Cake

If you know me, you know that I am a lover of high quality olive oil.   I stumbled upon this cake through my membership to the Fresh Pressed Olive Oil Club.  Every time a delivery arrives, there is an insert with information about the olive oil sent along with recipes to try.  Once I saw this cake, I knew I had to try it.

Many baked cakes later, I have refined the recipe to make it my own version.  As with all of my cooking, I continue to find ways to cook with the healthiest ingredients without giving up on the taste.

Give it a try and let me know how you like it!

The Irishman (Netflix)

See if you can spot me getting hyped up during Al Pacino's crowd raising Teamster rally speech in The Irishman.

From time to time, I enjoy getting on a set to appear on camera, appear in the background, or score a sweet photography gig.  In each case, they prove to be exciting opportunities and great networking for my business.

Roles On Camera I have appeared in:
* Manifest (NBC Season 3, Episode 1)
* The Plot Against America (HBO)
* The Irishman (Netflix)

Eat With Steve (YouTube)

In this episode of Eat With Steve, Steve Kapelonis cooks a pasta dish with Karen.  Karen is one of my photographers you will see working with me from time to time on weddings and large volume assignments.   I make a cameo appearance at the dinner table to eat with Steve and Karen, give my food review, and talk a little photography mixed in with some health and wellness.

Eat With Steve | Grandma Vi's Meatballs

Who doesn't love a good meatball!  Growing up my Grandma Vi always had the best meatballs and seemed to always have them readily available by the hundreds (I'm not joking).  And when my Mom had them freshly cooked on late Sunday mornings hiding inside the oven in the old school corningware pot (#IfYouKnowYouKnow), I always managed to steal 1, or more accuratley, 5 of them before a late afternoon Italian dinner.

This leaves for a great debate.... do you enjoy your meatballs fried, in the sauce or both ways!  I'll leave that up to you to decide once you make this recipe for yourself.  Mangia mangia!

Eat With Steve | Chicken Pesto Parmigiana

I love growing basil and making Pesto.  At least five different times this past Summer, 2 basil plants would produce 4 cups of leaves which meant endless pesto!  One day I got the great idea to replace tomato sauce with homemade pesto and vuola... Chicken Pesto Parmigiana was born!

See the video to learn how to make it, learn a little more about me when I am not behind a camera lens, and meet my good friend Steve and his Eat With Steve cooking channel.  More recipes to follow...
