Artist Bio

Daniel Marino, born and raised in Brooklyn, studied business & technology at Syracuse University and worked on Wall Street before turning his attention full-time to professional photography focusing on portraits, dance and weddings.

No less important is Marino's passion for art photography, in particular, landscapes and cityscapes. Twenty-five years ago, Marino began crossing the five boroughs, exploring the off-the-beaten-path corners of New York City, be it catching the emptiness of Floyd Bennett Field or showcasing a couple of wind surfers at Plumb Beach. These were the beginnings of what he calls his "photo safaris".

Marino's more recent photo journeys have continued to spark inspiration and now span far past his New York City roots. A trip to Iceland in 2017 gave Marino the opportunity to use his photographic expertise to view something totally different than the fast-paced, dense urban setting of NYC. With an open mind and fresh eye, Marino's Iceland Series represents another chapter of exploration.
